Press Releases & Annoucements

See the attached Provider Update Letter.

As Executive Committee Chair of the Ohio PPO Connect (OPPOC) network, I am pleased to let you know that, since our inception in 2012, we can proudly announce that our enrollment has grown to nearly 200,000 members. This is no small accomplishment in today’s healthcare environment, and we are extremely proud of the hard work this market growth represents!

I also wanted to take this opportunity to make you aware that HealthSpan, one of our network’s founding partners, will be discontinuing operations effective January 1, 2017.

Although this decision means HealthSpan will no longer be affiliated with OPPOC as of January 1, 2017, please be assured there will be no provider network disruption due to this announcement in 2016, nor do we anticipate any significant changes in the future. Our members and business partners will always be our primary focus, and we remain committed to network stability. All services currently provided by the OPPOC partners will continue unchanged: disruption/GEO reporting, network website management, repricing, customer service, provider relations, and medical management.

Those of us privileged to serve in a leadership position with OPPOC understand that the healthcare marketplace is experiencing rapid change, and we remain vigilant in our efforts to position the OPPOC network to navigate these changes easily and efficiently.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions or concerns regarding these announcements or our services in general.

Sincerely, Dan Sylvester Executive Committee Chair
